D. A. Rajapaksa Memorial with concurrence of 'Chandrikawewa' Golden Jubilee celebrations

With the concurrence of Late D. A. Rajapaksa memorial celebrations, Ambilipitiya 'Chandrikawewa' also celebrates its golden jubilee. In the auspicious of these events, ‘Walawe Urumaya,’ a sequence of programmes, will be launched from 2009–03–29 to April 30. Celebrations will be held throughout Sabaragamuwa and Hambantota districts.

To mark this inaugural event, all night Pirith Chanting Ceremony was held on 2009–03–29 in Ambilipitiya Temple Devala premises. This was followed by an alms giving for the Mahasangha the next day.
