A religious ceremony at the Dalada Maligawa

(Colombo Lankapuvath May 22) The National ceremony to bless the heroic troops and the President who provided necessary leadership to liberate the nation, will be held at the Tooth of the Temple Relic (Dalada Maligawa) in Kandy tomorrow (22).

The ceremony will be held under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapkasa and the incumbents of the Asgiri and Malwathu Chapters.

DiyawadanaNilame Nilanga Dela Bandara, Secretary of Defence Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Chief of Defence Staff Air Marshal Donald Perera, Army Commander Major General Sarath Fonseka, Navy Commander Wise Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda, Air Force Commander Air Marshal Roshan Goonathilaka, Inspector General of Police Jayantha Wickramarathna, Director General of Civil Security Force will attend the ceremony.

Subsequent to the ceremony at the ceremonial platform (Magul Maduwa) at the Maligawa, a special procession will follow at 01.00pm.
