Sea tiger leader “Maran” killed

Sri Lanka Navy was able to successfully thwart a sea tiger attempt attack early this morning (30) in Chalai Mullaittivu.

Speaking to Lankapuvath Military Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara stated that 04 sea tiger boats that arrived to launch the attack were destroyed by the SL Navy’s Special Boats Squadron (SBS), while sea tiger leader “Maran” and several other sea tiger leaders were killed in the counter attacks. 26 sea tigers were also killed in the attacks said Brigadier Nanayakkara.

According to the Military Spokesman a SL Navy sailor was killed in the attack while 03 other received injuries.
